Aim
We aim to use maths education with ICT, English language and enterprise development as a key to breaking the poverty chain.
Mission
Maths Ed Ghana is a charity with a mission to assist in the building of state of the art community maths education centres in deprived areas in Northern Ghana and beyond.
Objective
Our goal is to provide educational support facilities and services to scholars in Bolgatanga Northern Ghana and beyond, using maths education as a tool to lead development. Education in Mathematics, ICT, English language and Enterprise will be used as core instruments to propel people out of poverty.
It is intended that Maths Ed Ghana will
- Support a school(s) in Northern Ghana, including building or maintaining schools
- Provide online mathematics education for students via the web
- Run courses in maths, English language, ICT and enterprise
- Fund individual students’ education or provide bursary funding
- Run maths education courses for local teachers
- Provide remedial classes in maths, English language, ICT and enterprise
- Teach illiterate or innumerate adults to read, write and do basic maths/numeracy.
- Support academic research for the benefit of deprived communities in all aspects of mathematics education, enterprise and ICT and publish the results online
- Make grants available to students for educational necessities not provided by the Ghana government education service…
